Okay, okay. Are you sick of dachshunds yet? Of course not, because if you’re here to read this then you must love them like I do, right? In that sick, obsessed, “everything I own should be dachshund shaped” kinda way. And your significant other probably thinks you’re crazy like mine does, right? “Must everything we own be covered in dachshunds?” Yes Joe, yes it must.
Or maybe you just love a dachshund lover, and you’re searching for the perfect gift for them.
Well fear not fellow ween lovers, because I’ve got you covered. I searched far and wide and compiled a list of all my favorite dachshund gifts, both for the holiday season and everyday. For gift giving and treating yourself. You’ve gotta feed that obsession year round folks, because it never goes away. It’s so nice that dachshunds have gotten more popular in recent years because there’s so much more available now for dachshund lovers than there used to be. I remember when I was little my mom and grandma used to hoard their ween goods because when they found something, you absolutely had to buy it since it was rare to find something.
Before I get started, I want to mention a few things I’ve found this year that aren’t available online (which is a travesty, by the way. Shouldn’t everything be available online? It’s 2015). Head to your local (and if you’re like me, check a few towns over, too) TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and HomeGoods and comb through the holiday goods, kitchen and pet sections. Every year, I find dachshund wrapping paper and gift bags, plus this year I found the cutest dishtowels! You have to really search through stuff (I snagged the last set of dishtowels and only after I searched through every single other set on display) and be patient. Stores like TJ’s and Marshall’s are hit or miss and not every store carries the same exact products, though they do usually carry variations. I got another set of Christmas dishtowels that have not only dachshunds but all dogs, dachshunds included. I also went to three different TJ’s this week alone to come up with all this stuff. Any time I’m near one, I run in to check specific sections for ween stuff and usually end up with at least one thing. We’re past judgment right?
Also of note, World Market sells dachshund Rosé and Riesling, and Frankemuth Brewery out of Michigan uses a dachshund logo on their beers. Obviously, you can’t buy any of those things online but if you’re lucky enough to be close to either World Market or the brewery, stop by and see what they have. Frankenmuth does have a website shop with some cool other gifts available for purchase, like pint glasses with their logo.

So guys, that’s what I came up with this year. There’s much more out there but I tried to narrow it down to my favorites. Some stuff I know you’ve seen before (you can’t love a ween and not know about Bean Goods. You just can’t) and some stuff I hope will be new to you. I like to mix things up, I have some of the things I listed here and am wishing for other things. I got some things to give as gifts and have already given others as gifts.
Now I have to go because my dachshund is whining at me. Til next time!
